1.  Adair, Iowa - Just outside of town is the site of the first train robbery in the West by Jesse James & Associates in 1873.                     
2.  Albert City, Iowa - In 1901 the Albert City depot was the setting for the worst cops & robbers shootout in Iowa history.
3.  Boone, Iowa - Home of the Boone & Scenic Valley RR and Pufferbilly Days.  Nearby is the Kate Shelley High Bridge.
4.  Britt, Iowa - Annual site of the National Hobo Convention.
5.  Colfax, Iowa - Home of Trainland USA.  Huge layout of  Lionel model trains.
6.  Council Bluffs, Iowa - Home of RailsWest Museum  and the Union Pacific Railroad Museum. 
7.  Creston, Iowa - Nicely restored depot, large BNSF yard and setting for a hilarious tale of early train travel  by Robert Louis Stevenson.
8.  Green Mountain, Iowa - Scene of Iowa's worst rail disaster in 1910.
9.  Moingona, Iowa - The legend of Kate Shelley all starts here at the Depot Museum.
10.  Quarry, Iowa - Population 49, location of Iowa's oldest train station. Town motto: "It Ain't Much, But We Like It."
